Client Spotlight: Three Sessions Later… and Still Raising the Bar

Some women book a boudoir session once.

Others come back again… and again… because once you experience a session with me, you realize it’s about so much more than just photos.

This gorgeous client has now shot with me three times over the past four years, and every time we’ve created something a little different. But this session? This one was special.

She came in with a vision I hadn’t done very often in boudoir: a blue-collar, lineman-inspired theme. Tough. Sexy. A little gritty. Something different from the typical lingerie look.

Plus we were shooting outside!!!

She told me it was hard to find inspiration photos for the idea, which meant we were going to be creating something completely unique together. But she also walked into the session feeling confident because by this point, she trusted my process.

When she arrived at the studio in her comfy button-up and sweats, the vibe was exactly how it always is for an event session >>> relaxed, welcoming, and just a little bit fun. Mimosa in hand, hair and makeup getting started, and zero stress about having to do any of that herself beforehand.

That’s one of the things she loves most about the event sessions: you get to walk in, sit down, and just be taken care of.

One of the moments that stood out to her the most during the shoot was something simple but powerful. Between poses and outfits, I showed her some of the photos straight out of the camera.

Seeing those images right away changes it all.

Instead of overthinking every pose or worrying about how she looked, it reminded her to relax and just have fun with it. The confidence started to build with every image.

Like so many women, she admitted it’s easy to be hard on yourself or wonder how things will turn out. But seeing those images showed her something different — someone confident, strong, and completely owning the moment.

That’s the magic of photography sessions with me.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about allowing yourself to see the strength and confidence that’s already there.

One of her favorite looks was a pink corset paired with cut-up jean shorts she literally created the morning of the shoot after a random idea popped into her head. That little spark of creativity ended up fitting the blue-collar theme perfectly and gave the whole set a bold, playful edge.

When I asked her what she would tell another woman who’s nervous about booking a boudoir session, her answer was simple:  Do it anyway.

Put the insecurities aside. Because once the session starts, those nerves turn into confidence faster than you expect. After three shoots with me, she says every single one has been empowering—and she’s incredibly glad she reached out years ago to book the first one.

And if there’s one thing she believes every woman should know, it’s this:

Boudoir isn’t just about photos.
It’s not just lingerie or lace.

It’s a reminder of your strength, confidence, and beauty and every woman deserves to experience that at least once.

Sometimes all it takes is saying yes to the first session.

And who knows… you might end up coming back for round three… or four.
