Client Spotlight: Rediscovering Her Power
There’s something truly magical about watching a woman reclaim her sense of self — and this client’s story is the perfect example.
She booked her boudoir session because she knew it was time. After making some personal changes, she finally felt good in her skin again. When I reached out, she felt absolutely ready. “It’s always nice to have other women hype you up,” she shared — and that’s exactly the energy we carried through the experience.
For her, boudoir was about more than pretty pictures. It was about seeing herself in a new light — not just as the busy mom in sweats with a messy bun, but as a confident, beautiful woman in her own right.
In the days leading up to the shoot, the nerves kicked in. She told me it was a whirlwind of emotions — excitement, fear, self-doubt, and anticipation all tangled together. “I convinced myself I would never be able to take a good picture of myself,” she confessed. But every fear she had, I walked her through and helped shut down before it even had a chance to take hold.
Once we began shooting, the magic unfolded. She started out shaky and nervous, but with my constant hype and coaching, she slowly let go. “My entire session was my favorite,” she says. “When Kadee showed me the images, her excitement made me feel like a badass — and she kept reminding me that I was a badass. That has stuck with me, even months after my shoot.”

She had booked an event session, which meant hair and makeup were part of the day — and thanks to Lenzie and me, she felt like she was hanging out with best friends she’d known for years.
One of the most surprising moments? Moving to the shower set and finding herself topless — something she never expected to feel so comfortable doing. But in that space, surrounded by encouragement and support, she felt safe, empowered, and totally at ease.
When she saw her final images, it was an emotional moment. “I have been so used to being ‘mom’ that I forgot there is a woman behind that role. The session reminded me that I am more than a mom — and I can be seen for something other than my day-to-day life.”
The experience didn’t just give her beautiful photos; it shifted how she sees herself. “I learned I don’t need a perfect body or perfect hair to be authentically me. I am enough just the way I am.”
For her, the most meaningful takeaway was simple but powerful: it’s okay to take time for yourself. You are beautiful, and you deserve to feel that way every single day.
Her favorite image from the session? Sitting on the couch with the wings on — not just because it made her feel sexy, but because it made her feel beautiful. And those images now serve as a daily reminder: I am her, and she is me.
Mom of five (plus two bonus kids!), with a big heart and a loud mouth, she is an open book — and her message to other women is clear:
“DO IT! The nerves will fade, and you will have the best time. The feeling after leaving the studio is beyond measure — it’s one of the best feelings a woman can have.”
When asked to sum up the experience in one word, she chose POWERFUL — because it’s not just about the photos or the time in the studio. It’s about the lasting impression, the feeling, and the reminder that you are beautiful — and you should always embrace it.
