Client Spotlight: From Terrified to Totally Empowered

She first saw one of my boudoir session ads and thought to herself, “Hmm… that might be cool.” But like so many women, the nerves kicked in fast. She ended up rescheduling—maybe even once or twice—because she was scared.

Not scared of me or the camera, but scared of not feeling “pretty enough.”

Scared of not knowing what to wear.

Scared that she didn’t fit the “boudoir mold.”

She told me, “I’m a simple, plus-size woman. I didn’t own any lingerie or high heels.” And still… she showed up. She leaned into the experience—and that bravery is exactly what made her session so powerful.

What surprised her most?
“How fast the hour went by,” she said. (I hear this all the time! Time seriously flies when you’re being hyped up and glowing in your element.)

She loved how I guided her every step of the way, from posing to energy, and how I gave her little peeks at the back of the camera as we went. Those in-the-moment sneak peeks helped her see what I saw: a bold, confident woman showing up for herself.

When we sat down for her ordering session, she said the confidence boost hit all over again. “I loved the way it made me feel,” she told me. That glow didn’t stop when she left the studio—it carried over into the way she saw herself long after.

Her favorite image? The wife beater or in the light room. 🔥

But it was way too hard to pick just two—so she said yes to the 6x9 album.

When I asked if she’d ever do it again, she didn’t hesitate: “I think I’ll be ready for another shoot next spring.”

And to anyone still sitting on the fence, she’s got one simple message:
“Do it. You’ll love the way it makes you feel—and Kadee is amazing.” 🖤

Every session is different, and every story is worth celebrating. Hers? It’s a reminder that boudoir isn’t about what size you are, what you wear, or how confident you feel walking in. It’s about how you feel when you walk out—and how you see yourself in the moments that follow.
