Client Spotlight: "I Almost Canceled—And I'm So Glad I Didn't"
I need to tell you about one of my clients (and so many of them lately) — because if you’ve been thinking about booking a boudoir shoot but haven’t pulled the trigger, her story might be exactly what you need to hear.
She found me the way so many others do… scrolling and seeing gorgeous women looking like total goddesses. And she said to herself, “I want to feel like they look.”
So she booked.
And then?
The nerves hit. Hard.
She
said her favorite and least favorite part was narrowing it
down — because she loved so many of them. That’s the kind of problem I love.
Beautiful. Empowering. Emotional.
And when I asked her what she’d say to another woman who was thinking about
doing a boudoir session, her answer came fast:
The nerves are normal. The doubt is normal.
But what’s waiting on the other side of that hesitation?
As a beautiful badass.
Just like her.
She almost canceled the night before. Her drive was about an hour and a half, and she told me her palms were sweaty the entire way. She was terrified and full of self-doubt. (Sound familiar?)
She’d done some last-minute shopping, but nothing she bought made her feel
sexy. In fact, it made her even more unsure. She straightened her hair, did her
makeup, and literally considered turning around while driving.
But she showed up.
Yes, she was nervous. But she let herself trust the process. She leaned into the posing even though she didn’t know what to do at first (spoiler: most women don’t!) and let me guide her every step of the way.
By the time we were done, we had a full gallery of jaw-dropping images… and then came the hard part: choosing.
When she saw her final images, her reaction was everything:
“I was awestruck. I couldn’t believe those pics were actually of me. They say
the camera adds 10 lbs, but I couldn’t see it — I looked smoking hot.

She told me she loved showing off her images. She wished she could show them to more people. And honestly? I get it. That kind of transformation deserves to be celebrated.
