Client Spotlight: She Wanted to Capture This Moment—And Damn, Did She Ever
Not every story needs a name attached to make an impact. This client wanted to stay anonymous, but her energy was way too good not to share. She gave me permission to tell her story—and honestly, it’s the kind of shoot that reminds me why I do this.
She had done boudoir before—years ago—but never in a professional setting. This time, she wanted more than snapshots. She wanted a book that felt next-level. Something that embodied real boudoir. Real confidence. Real sex appeal. Real HER.
When she pulled up to the studio, she said she wasn’t nervous at all. She had been blasting girl anthems the whole drive down, and by the time she walked in the door, the vibe was on. Big energy. Big smile. Ready to go.
“I think I was skipping around the room!” she told me later, and I believe it. Every peek at the back of the camera lit her up even more. The session turned into this loop of joy—pose, shoot, peek, outfit change, repeat. And let me tell you: she nailed it every time.
Her favorite part? The way we clicked. She said it felt like I was her biggest cheerleader (and also the coach on the sidelines shouting “okay girl, armpits!” or “point those toes!”). We laughed a lot. That kind of chemistry makes for magic in front of the lens.
Something that caught her off guard—in the best way—was the studio itself. “There were so many scenes to work with,” she said. “Mirrors, couches, that dreamy curtained nook… it was a real professional space. I was seriously impressed.” And the final product? She called the turnaround time “amazing” and the album quality “high-end.” A win-win.
When she saw her photos for the first time, she said she couldn’t stop making a little “rawr” noise (which might be my favorite feedback ever). She was in love. “I couldn’t believe I looked like that!” she said. “That’s so hot!”
And it wasn’t just about the photos—it was about how they made her feel. She wanted to celebrate this version of her body before baby #2, and she left feeling confident, empowered, and straight-up sexy.
For anyone on the fence about booking, she says: Do it. Make the Pinterest board. Make the playlist. Plan it out and get excited. That part of the process made it feel fun, not scary—and helped me understand her vision from the jump.
And that vision? We crushed it. From shadow play to acrobatic poses, we hit every mark on her wish list. She said some of her favorite images were the ones I suggested. “She knows boudoir,” she said. “She knows how to pose you so you look your best.”
That’s the whole point, really. You already are your best—you just need someone to show you.
And I’m so glad she let me be that someone.
