Client Spotlight: From Self-Doubt to Seriously Empowered

Let’s talk about one of my amazing clients who absolutely blew me away.

After years of struggling with self-love and battling body dysmorphia after weight loss surgery, she decided it was time to do something for herself. She needed to see — really see — how far she’d come. Boudoir felt like the perfect way to celebrate that.

Before her session, she was nervous (who wouldn’t be?) but also excited. It was a huge leap outside her comfort zone, and she honestly thought, “There’s no way these photos will turn out, let alone make me look sexy.”

Well, spoiler alert: she was wrong.

As soon as she stepped into the studio, she found her groove. She felt comfortable, supported, and free to just be present. We kept things easy, upbeat, and encouraging — and by the end, she was having fun and feeling amazing.

One of her favorite parts? Being part of a special event with pro hair and makeup, surrounded by other women hyping each other up. The whole vibe was positive and relaxed, like hanging out with people who just get you.

When it was time to see her photos, she was floored. For the first time in decades, she actually saw herself as beautiful.

Some standout shots? The one with a chain draped across her chest, with just a hint of tease — so powerful. And the bold wall pose showing off her curves? Total showstopper (her husband even wanted it poster-sized, by the way).

But beyond the images, something shifted in how she saw herself. She told me:

“As women, we are our own worst critics. This experience reminded me that I am still a sexual, sensual person. I may be pushing 50, a minister, a mom and grandma, but before all of that, I am a woman. A phenomenal woman.”

If you’re on the fence about booking because you’re nervous or worried about your flaws, her advice is simple: Do it. Even if you’re scared, do it anyway. Don’t pick yourself apart. Every bit of you deserves to be celebrated.

Her final takeaway sums it up perfectly:

“No matter where you are in life, take the time to celebrate you. This experience will remind you that you are worth it.”

If you’re ready to see yourself the way you deserve to be seen, let’s talk. I’d love to help you experience this for yourself. ❤️ www.boudoirbykadee.com
