Client Spotlight: Stepping Out of the Box (and Onto the Swing)
Some sessions start with a quiet curiosity. Others start with a little nudge from someone who loves you.
This one? Definitely the second.
She told me she’d always wanted sexy photos of herself, but what finally pushed her to book was a simple comment from her wife one day. She mentioned how much she’d love that—and sometimes that’s all it takes. Permission. Encouragement. A reminder that you’re allowed to do something just because it makes you feel good.
As we got into the session, confidence started to build. You could see it happening in real time. A pose here. A laugh there. A little hyping up (okay, a lot). She told me the standout moment was when she realized she was actually feeling herself—and once that clicked, she leaned all the way in.
Side note: the swing definitely helped.
When it came time to see her images, she was shocked. Not because she didn’t expect them to be good—but because parts of her body she’d always felt unsure about looked "sexy as hell." And more importantly, felt that way too. That’s the magic. Seeing yourself differently than you ever have before.
This experience reminded her that stepping outside her comfort zone is powerful. That confidence doesn’t come from staying small—it comes from trying something bold and letting yourself be seen.
She described the studio energy as welcoming and LIT (accurate 😂). Like she was shooting for a magazine. Big space, lots of options, nothing crowded, and a vibe that lets you breathe and relax into it all.
Her favorite look? Hands down the chains and the swing with the hearts. She loved how the chains framed her chest and how strong and sexy she looked in those images!!
When I asked what she’d say to another woman feeling nervous about booking, her answer was perfect:
You will be nervous. That’s natural. But once you arrive, once the music starts, once the space and the encouragement take over—it all fades. You let loose. You enjoy it. And when it’s done and you see your photos, you’ll be so glad you did.
And that’s exactly why I do this. If you want to learn more about booking a session fill out the client questionnaire on my website. www.boudoirbykadee.com
