Client Spotlight: She Just Wanted to Feel Sexy Again

She told me she booked the session because she just wanted to feel sexy again. After having her son almost three years ago, she said she hadn’t felt that way at all. She felt uncomfortable in her body, not confident, not attractive, just not like herself anymore.

And honestly, I hear that more than people think.

She showed up excited but nervous, which is exactly how it usually goes. You could feel both right away. But the second she walked into the studio, everything shifted. She lit up. Grabbed a mimosa, started looking around, smiling, taking it all in. She kept saying how much she loved the space and how excited she was to get started, and that’s when I knew this was going to be a good one.

We started shooting and she did what so many women do at first, overthinking a little, wondering what to do with her body, questioning if she was doing it right. And then she just let go. She trusted me, let me guide her, and leaned into the process.

There is always a moment where it clicks, and with her it happened when she saw herself.

Not a fully finished gallery. Not a big reveal. Just a quick look at the back of the camera.

She stopped and looked at me and you could see it all over her face. Shock. Like wait… that’s me?

She told me she has never liked her butt. Always something she’s been insecure about. And there she was staring at it on the screen saying it looked "hella sexy." That right there is the shift. That’s the moment everything changes.

From that point on it was different. She moved differently, carried herself differently, laughed more, relaxed more. It stopped feeling like a photoshoot and started feeling like two friends just hanging out, being a little chaotic, having fun. At one point I had her in the wings and I’m literally moving her around however I want and we are both laughing, and those ended up being some of her favorite images.

When she came back to see her photos, she said it was indescribable. She was in shock. Could not believe it was her. And I get it, because the woman she saw in those images is the same woman who walked in, she just hadn’t seen herself that way in a long time.

She told me the biggest thing she took from the experience was learning to trust the photographer and realizing you are sexy even when you don’t think you are. You just have to see yourself in a different light.

That one always sticks with me.

Because nothing about her changed that day. Same body. Same woman. Just a different perspective.

By the end of it, she kept saying how fun it was, how it didn’t feel awkward or forced, just felt like we were being crazy and having a good time the whole session.

And if you’re sitting there feeling nervous about booking, she gets it. She was too. But she also said not to be nervous, that I’ll take care of you and make you feel confident and comfortable the entire time.

She believes every woman should do this at least once because it lets you see yourself in a way you normally never would. It lets you open up, be free, and actually own who you are.

And that’s exactly why I do this - I want to remind as many women as I can... just how badass they are.
