Client Spotlight: A Mom of Three Who Wanted to Feel Like Her Again
After three kids, a full decade of marriage, and years of taking care of everyone else, she hit a point that so many women understand but don’t always say out loud. She wanted to feel like herself again. Not just mom. Not just wife. Just her.
She told me she booked her session because she wanted to feel beautiful and sexy again and honestly she wanted the attention. I loved that. We don’t say that part enough, but it’s real.
Leading up to her session she was excited but definitely nervous too. That mix is completely normal. What I loved was that she leaned into it anyway. She went through the prep guides, started looking at images, and before she even walked into the studio something had already started to shift for her.
By the time she got there she felt comfortable. Not stiff or awkward, just relaxed and ready. We had already connected before her shoot and it made a difference. It didn’t feel intimidating, it felt like a space where she could just show up and be herself.
The moment that stood out the most to her was seeing her very first image. Not the final edited one, just the raw photo. And even then she saw something completely different than what she was used to seeing in the mirror. She saw herself as confident and sexy and strong. She told me she hasn’t stopped feeling like a total badass since and that right there is exactly why I do this.
When she saw her full gallery there wasn’t any second guessing. She loved her images and is already planning her next session. She said this is going to be a yearly thing and honestly that makes total sense. Once you see yourself like that it sticks with you.
What meant the most to me though was what she took away from the experience. After everything her body has been through, three pregnancies, life, all of it, she realized the things she used to see as insecurities are actually some of her best features. That shift is everything.
She described the studio as fun and freeing. The kind of place where you can let go a little, laugh, and not take yourself so seriously. Even when she tried to be serious she couldn’t help but smile and those are always my favorite moments.
When I asked her what she would say to another woman who’s nervous about booking she didn’t hesitate. Just do it. The way you feel walking in is nothing like the way you feel walking out. She said it’s almost addictive in the best way because once you feel that confident you want to hold onto it.
And she’s right.
You don’t need to change anything before you book. You don’t need to wait for the “right time.”
You just need to show up.
